Hi Fellas, had some good tips on the chippy forum but this topic has nothing to do with chippy stuff.- Black Jack® 901 Black Bitumen Paint. Everbuild Black Jack® 901 Black Bitumen Paint is a solvent-based, full bodied, black bitumen paint, When dry, the product forms an odourless and taint free bitumen film suitable for the protection of metals, concrete roofing, felt, fibre cement, corrugated iron, asphalt and wood against water attack.
- EVERBUILD BLACK BITUMEN PAINT is ready for use and should not be thinned. Apply by brush or spray. A minimum of two coats of Bitumen Paint should be applied, the first been allowed to dry (normally 2-4 hours depending on weather conditions) before the second is applied. PROTECTIVE COATING ON CONCRETE ETC.
Just moved house and replacing the carpets, one of which will fit nicely into the garage.
There are small patches of under the DPC level where the brick meets the slab - these get bigger when it rains and dry out completely in the summer - so no real issue.
Only problem is it'll make the carpet damp and it'll go mouldy in the wetter months so I'm looking at painting the slab and up to DPC with Blackjack type bitumen paint.
Has anyone got any experience on this or guidelines on what to do/not to do or even a reccommendation on what to use???
thanks all and happy xmas....
